La prima Birra che andrò a realizzare è una Strong Scotch Ale.. quindi una Ale, in stile scozzese, potente, decisamente forte, sia come gradazione (si aggira intorno agli 8°), che come corposità della birra... Si parte da una OG di 1093 per finire dopo circa 2 settimane a 1033...decisamente sopra la media!

Si vedono gli estratti (sia i 2 barattoli di liquido che quello secco), i vari Luppoli (Target per l'amaro e East Kent Golding per l'aroma), lo zucchero x aumentare il grado alcolico, e infine, nel sacchetto, i grani... Sono di 3 varietà differenti: Chocolate, Roast Barley e Special B... Servono soprattutto per conferire alla birra un sapore di tostato, e anche per scurirla.. E infine, nel sacchetto in piedi, già attivato, il Lievito Scottish Ale, che conferirà alla birra quegli aromi tipici dello stile...
